The darshan of the Master is a moment of grace when the Master connects his heart to the student’s, and the student does receive a gift of the pure God power that the Master is a conduit for. And this gift of love and light creates within the student’s heart a feeling of joy and happiness that may last for a moment or a day or a week, depending on the case. And the burst of love and light does also bring to the student the cleansing of impurities and darkness that does dwell within the subtle bodies and in this small measure bring him a small step closer to God, and a taste of the love that does await when he does finally achieve the wisdom and power and understanding of the initiations of the pure God worlds. | And so, though it is not necessary to be in the Master’s presence or sight, this is usually the way the darshan is given, for it is an easier and stronger connection to make when the Master can see the one he does give his gift to, and also, it is easier for the Master to judge the strength and ability of the student to receive the inflow of love and power if the student is standing or seated before the Master’s gaze. And so, the darshan is given through the word or gaze or touch which does symbolize the act of the heart-to-heart connection that does transfer the light and power and love from the Master to the student.
